In this video from CBC Ottawa, Lee-Ann Bruce, a sarcoidosis patient, is interviewed regarding the hardships of not being able to afford the drugs required for a transplant. The National Sarcoidosis Organization has been approached to add to the interview series. If is for people like Lee-Ann that we are here, to increase awareness and research. April will soon be upon us and this year, if you see a landmark near you lit up in purple and white on April 13, 2015, it is for Sarcoidosis awareness!
Requests have been sent to CN Tower (Toronto), Niagara Falls (Ontario), High Level Bridge (Edmonton), Calgary Tower and BC Place (Vancouver) to have their light display go purple and white on our special day.

Well, 2014 passed us in a whirlwind. Our board now stands with four members, Melany Sealy, President; Cheryl Gould, Vice-President; Dawn Smith - Secretary/Treasurer and Cher Weisgerber, Chair.

Sirocco Golf Course was host to the 3rd Annual Sarcoidosis Golf Tournament this year where over $10,000.00 was raised. It was a beautiful day for great golf at a wonderful course, followed by banquet, awards and silent action.

2nd Annual Sarcoidosis Walk A Thon in Red Deer, Alberta was a success. It turned out to be a beautiful day! Each step counts in raising awareness and funds for research in Canada. Thank you to all who donated and to all the participants who came to the event. Also a huge thank you to all who volunteered to make this event possible. Looking forward to next year's event.

Fundraiser from the Heart
On Sunday, April 21st, 12 year old Emma Saban held an Arts and Crafts sale, raising $223.00 which she has donated to the NSO. For the last 6 months, Emma has been diligently working, preparing various types of crafts and works of art. Emma recently lost her Uncle Chad through complications of neuro-sarcoidosis.
